Ekibimiz
Bahattin Demir
I've been working together with my DOP-colleague Bahattin Demir since 2005, in productions like Nearby Yet Far Away - The Isle of Burgaz, Background Music of Our Lives, Turkey on the Move and NTV - Municipal Bus. Bahattin works also as camera operator at NTV.
Gülşin Ketenci
Gülşin Ketenci, the photographer who doesn't like her being photographed, is also the director's assistant and stills photographer since 2007. Most of the images on this site belong to her. She was born in 1975 in Izmit and studied mathematics at the Istanbul Technical University. She began photography in 2004 and has taken part in various mixed exhibitions since then.
Serkan Seymen
Serkan Seymen was born in 1971 Izmir and graduated from Bornova Anadolu High School. He began working as a journalist in 1994 in the weekly "Nokta". He worked as a reporter in the daily newspaper "Vatan", interviewed musicians for the magazine "Roll" and works presently as an editor in NTV. Serkan Seymen who has insisted on working in our productions as a boom operator since 2006 is described by the alternative Turkish web portal "Sour times" as such: "Should I say lazy, he works sometimes indeed, should I say he works, I see him snoozing on the table. I just cannot understand it."
Bülent Arınlı (1951-2008)
A film featuring Bülent Arınlı. We shot it a few months before his death
The DOP of many films presented in this site, Bülent Arınlı passed away in 2008 at an early age. I have listed some of the condolence messages which I received, below.
Özcan Deniz: I just heard about maestro Bülent's death and am deep in sorrow. Please accept my condolences, I wish patience for his family and friends. May God forgive him.
Tilbe Saran: We met him through you, during the shootings for "Nearby Yet Far Away - The Isle of Burgaz". He himself was a little bit like that: Nearby yet far away. I hope he left us as he wished it. Close to nature, without stress, silently, in honour. We all have become lonesome. Please accept my condolences.
Ahmet Uluğ: A nice person, who left nice work behind.
Osman Okkan: I met him only a few times during festivals, he was always surrounded by his students. I understand you very well.
Mercan Dede: I am really very sorry. Thank you for your sincere message. Please send my condolences to his family and beloved.
Şanar Yurdatapan: I wish you condolences Nedim. I hadn't met him. But it is encouraging to know that there are such people in this world.
